Nagoya Higashiyama Zoo
Rated as one of the the top things to do in Tripadvisor, the zoo disappoints me a little because of the lack of space it has for the animals. I have visited Taronga Zoo in Sydney, and I really like the idea of having free range animals around. Seeing animals being caged into tiny spaces made me uncomfortable.
Kangaroo just chilling
This is the entire cage for this tiger. It makes me sad because that’s all the space it has. It doubt this is even enough space for it to move around.
It looks so sad :'(
That’s all the space this polar bear can move around.
Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology
It used to be a factory here.
The six large chimneys are the remains of a tunnel kiln built in 1933, when the plant underwent major restoration. At the foot of the chimneys are flues that led the smoke from the kiln to the chimneys. In those days, 5.5 million pieces of Noritake chinaware were produced annually and exported to countries all over the world. The chimneys are the 45 meters tall. Nagoya Castle and these chimneys were once the tallest structures in this region, until the TV tower was constructed. The plant was moved in 1979, and the chimneys were left as a monument.
