German railway! I really hate you from my heart!
Woke up early in the morning, actually I didn’t sleep much lol. One to two hours only.
As the stupid ticket system requires me to make a reservation to the train to hamburg, I went to the station at 7 and realized the ticket is not sold i the ticket office and was currently closed until 9 pm, way passed my travel time.
So I went to Copenhagen main station. Luckily the ticket office opened at 7 and I was the first person to go in. Got my ticket quickly and went to hamburg.
Interestingly, the train actually went through a boat to go across the river and I didn’t know until then. But when it got to the time where everybody was supposed to get back on the train, I didn’t know and the train left without me. I had to run to the next station which was 5 minutes away to get back on lol!
Stupid German train delayed for 30 minutes. So I ended up having only less the 5 hours in hamburg, which was surprisingly enough.
First stop was the electronic store, Saturn. As Magnus said, it was overpriced and I didn’t end up buying anything because their cameras were shitty. Lol literally
Spice museum was closed on Mondays. I went to the miniature wonderland instead just right next to the tower. Free lockers were available, but my backpack was too huge for the locker. Asked the employees if I can store somewhere else and they were like sure you gotta pay though. Well I don’t feel like paying so I carried it all along.
Miniatur Wunderland
The models were really tiny and precise. And they even had a control room that overtakes the whole museum, which was amazing! Unfortunately I don’t have a good enough camera to capture everything.
The harbor next to the museum was beautiful! Then I walked along to the st. Michael church. (They didn’t let me use my student discount… US colleges are 4 years). The scenery was beautiful ! Clear sky Harbor city! My favorite!
Then I went back to hamburg station, where the nightmare begins again. Train got delayed somehow and the conductor in the announcement was like “well, suckers, you losers, we are delayed so you probably can’t make the transfer”
I asked one of the conductors who walked by and he was like “I don’t give a shit what happens to you. I don’t care”
Well I was fucked! But of course due to the fact that the other train that I needed to transfer to was also a German train, delays are bound to happen.. 15 minutes delay. Well enough for me to get on the train and waited in the train station for a while.
