Today is a long day. I have to switch from my hostel and moved to a four star I booked on Hotwire.com (Just 23 Euro per night! Great Deal!).
Before I moved my stuff over, I put my luggage in the hostel and went to a couple more attractions before I left the place.
The Colosseum
Finally here! On Sundays, the Colosseum is free admission, which means that it is gonna be super crowded. Luckily, people have to line up to get the tickets to get in. For me, because I already have the ticket from yesterday, I went in right away.
Seeing a lot of movies about the colosseum, I thought the colosseum is a flat place where it is like the Spanish cow combating place that people just flight there. Interestingly, that is not the case in colossum. Inside Colossum, there is a maze-like structure in the middle, and one third of the stage was divided and built a plat modern stage for temporary storage. What’s the point? I think even the Romans already forget. In the past, the Pope allows certain performances to be performed here, but it was banned for several years due to the nature of uncivilized and violent behaviors (I don’t quite get it LOL).
Church Tour!
For the rest of the day, it’s pretty much a quick walk up to all the highlighted churches in Rome. The churches are fairly close enough that I could walk through all the churches in a whole day before the sunset. At the last church, I even attended part of the service even though it was fully in Italian, which I had no idea what the reverend was saying.
Dinner!
Very cheap. Spaghetti + Wine = 4 Euros
^ Pompeii!!!! BEST TIRAMISU EVER!!! CAN’T DESCRIBE HOW GOOD IT IS BY WORDS!!!!!!!! Special Thanks to Han for the recommendation!!!
Extra =p
Walking through the churches, I came across a plaza where it is mostly for children who want to play shooting game and get prizes as in a carnival. There was one guy doing performance.
