Belfast – Titanic Museum

2017-01-15 Belfast – Titanic Museum

Ever since I saw the picture from Bing Images, I have always wanted to visit the Giant’s Causeway in the Northern Ireland. It am amazed by how nature created such a beautiful place here on Earth.

Ireland is not very huge and the Giant’s Causeway is located three hours away from Dublin at the northern tip of the Northern Ireland (Yes, border crossing!).

The Northern Ireland belongs to the United Kingdom and is still using the imperial system, such as miles per hours, feet and inches, etc.

So after crossing the border, you would notice there is a distinctive difference on the road signs.

First stop is a gas station over the border before arriving in Belfast. Did’t know this frog I used to see when I was a kid was actually a British design.

 Belfast

The bus tour that I joined offered us two options in Belfast: Black Taxi Tour about the history of Belfast or the Titanic Museum

My coworker had really high recommendation on the Titanic Museum, and that did not disappoint me.

Belfast used to be a major port for Ireland and the United Kingdom. Titanic, like many other transatlantic ships, was made here in Belfast.

There was also a lot of interest history about Belfast, which I could have known if I had taken the black taxi instead. 😀 Maybe I will be back next time for this.      The Titanic Experience  The British Empire during one of its brightest era H&W is the ship maker company of the Titanic.   Surprisingly, there is a indoor lift ride within the museum. On the ride, it would take you through a storyline about the history about ship making during the period, like the worker conditions and the process of making a ship.   Model of the Titanic   Different Classes of Stateroom  China that was used in that period of time

I just love UK’s design appearing everywhere in Belfast 😀
