07-21-2016 – Paris – Arc de Triomphe, Musée de l’Orangerie
Arc de Triomphe
Yesterday I kinda had a long day, covering most of the attractions that I wanted to visit.
Arc of triumph
Because I am a EU national, I am eligible for free access again for this attractions, but no line cutting this time (I had to exchange for a free ticket in the ticket office). Anyway, the line was short, and I quickly got through security screening.
The view was amazing! Paris does not have a loot of tall buildings (excepts in La Defense). With the arc of triumph slighted elevated from the ground, I could see almost of whole city at the absolute center. It was gorgeous!
I took a panorama of the city
My original plan was to take pictures of the Eiffel Tower in the day time because next week I will be visiting again at night. The plan was already fulfilled here. Day time Eiffel Tower!
Pont de Alexenadra III
Nice bridge that could see the Eiffel Tower
I was trying to get from the bridge to the “orange” museum, but what I hate about Paris transportation is that there is not a lot of transportation options along the attraction sites.
Even though I had a unlimited pass, I couldn’t utilize it fully.
I spent me around an hour to get to the museum at the end because I made a stop to the train stop and attempted to use Apple Pay for a soda (it didn’t work, even though Apple Pay already rolled out to France. It still doesn’t like my chip and signature card.)
Musée de l’Orangerie
It is a really tiny museum with only three stories (skip the line with EU passport and access for free).
—end—
Sky team elite is a joke
The elite status never shows up on my boarding pass. Even though I know this status doesn’t really grant me anything, but giving me priority access to security screening and boarding.
I got stopped by the security because I don’t have elite status on my boarding pass, then practically there’s no point having the status…
Flying to Munich
Didn’t expect the flight would delay by 30 minutes.
