Horse Meat Croquette

Horse eating is such a tradition here in Kumamoto. I can’t really tell the difference between having beef and horse honestly. This croquette is delicious by the way.

Kumamoto Castle

Like many other castles in Japan, Kumamoto castle was also destroyed by fire. The current castle is a rebuild.

Apparently, this castle was also owned by Keroro Gunso. His mission is complete!

Kumamon Square
(Small Souvenir Store)
For me, Kumamon Square is just a huge rip-off, even though it is free (sorry). The square is within a department store, in a location where it is almost impossible to find. The directions to get to the square are ambiguous, even for an experienced traveller like myself. I had to asked for a directions and went through a few hoops to get there. Yet, this is just a small souvenir store. Basically, that’s the whole “square” you can see from the picture.
