Day 8 – Lugano, Switzerland
I love this place so much!!! It is nothing like Milan; it is quiet, peaceful, and very relaxing!
I had to wake up very early in the morning because today trains were running on special schedule. I thought I went into the station early to buy the ticket, but station machines didn’t like English! English menu caused the system to crash, and I didn’t know until the station assistant helped me to get one in Italian, but still I missed the cheapest train (Regional Train S10) to Lugano, and I had to take EuroCity, which is more expensive there.
I first arrived the station, and there was already a visitor center next to the station, and the people speak English!! OMG!
The city is so beautiful in many ways.
Stuff there aren’t really that expensive, especially the foreign exchange rate to USD is exactly 1:1 =D This makes me so happy because I don’t have to do the math.
The supermarket looks like City Super in Hong Kong!
My favorite chocolates!!
For lunch, I went into a fancy Italian restaurant!! Even still water cost me 4 euros!
I ordered a seafood spaghetti and it tasted so good!
Their currencies are also elegantly designed.
